This photo shows texture within natural objects. The texture created is quite a rough texture as the leaf looks quite dry.

Above is a manmade object which creates a rough and dry texture.

A natural object is the focus of this particular photograph and the texture demonstrated is a sharp texture but also within the background there is the start of a smooth texture.

This photograph shows a smooth texture by the use of light across the object and also how the photo shows that the object is quite a 'flat' object.

This picture shows circular shape through the use of the outline throughout the centre. Throughout the image there is also oner circular shapes.

Within this image, the shape is shown by the use of silhouettes. The main shape within this image is of a frog which is an irregular shape. 

Shape is shown in this particular photo by the use of repetition, the shape being repeated is a regular polygon, which is quite a bold and unique shape.

The outline in this picture creates the shape of a star which is created by the hands of a group of people.

My definition-

Something that is made up of an outline and can vary in different ways such as whether it is regular or not.

Definition- Movement

 

Movement-

 the act, process, or result of moving. A change in the location of an object.

This photo shows movement by having full focus on the teddy bear but having a blurred background. The background shows that the movement is circular.

Movement is shown in this picture by the people in the swings. We are aware that the swings are moving because of the angle they are at. Also the blurred background and floor shows movement.

The splashes from the drop portray movement. You can see the splashes come off the drop in into the air. The dark background helps make the splashes stand out more.

 

The black background helps make the movement more obvious. There is also a lot of blurriness in the direction of the movement which helps show movement within the image.

Work Diary- Movement

Evaluation
The topic of tad ays lesson was movement which was a topic completely different to what we had done before in the sense that all previous topics were of still objects. Also, we had no clear idea of what the photo would be like because it was the first topic where it showed the difference in our eyes and the camera. Firstly we conducted a bit of research on movement photography on the internet where it was quite obvious what the moving object was- there was like a trail of light. Having some idea how photographs portrayed movement we then had to change the settings on the camera to allow it to have a slow shutter speed to enable it to capture movement. When taking photos of movement, it had to be in quite dark places to allow the movement to be quite obvious. 

The photograph above is one of the ones I edited. It is of people moving in a dark corridor; it shows movement because of the blurred areas around the bodies. The light of the corridor allows there to be a sense of distance created and also helps to emphasise the movement in the image.

This photo has captured movement in a different way to the other ones; the movement is a downwards motion in a lift. The movement is conveyed in the sense of the blurred background and the depth created by the metal frame. Also, the difference in light across the image helps portray movement.

Progression
I think i would definitely like to explore this topic further focusing largely on the movement of fast moving objects like cars and bikes moving along to see how the movement is captured differently to the more slower moving objects.
