The work of Robert Frank shows depth, tone and form. His work is in black and white which is used to exaggerate the tone of an image. I think that his photographs are very simple but they do portray the elements very effectively.

The work of Pete Turner shows colour. Throughout his work colour is the main focus within and the colours across his work vary from presenting very bold colours and sometimes cold and dark colours. His photographs also do show shape by using silhouettes and then also very unusual shapes too.
Gisel Florez

Her work focuses on using a dark background with something quite bright and catching in the foreground. Often she photographs exploding fruit, as seen above, but some other work of hers is colour explosions of bright,colourful handbags. When photographing the exploding fruit, I would imagine that she would use slow motion frames and then select and edit her favourite and best shot. When it comes to photographing the handbags, I would imagine that she would have a similar approach, capturing the paint explosion in slow motion and then selecting her favourite frame. I feel that her photography shows both colour and form; colour is shown by how it stands out from the black background. Form is shown by how the light varies across the object.
Adam Burton
Throughout Adam Burton's photography, a number of key elements are shown. His photography focuses on many natural scenes and landscapes and throughout these scenes, colour, texture, reflection and pattern is shown. I think that he would have travelled to a range of different places to capture the variety of different scenes but then would have edited the scenes further to give his work the desired effect.
Heather Edwards
Heather Edwards' work mainly focuses on photography of flowers. Throughout her work; line, colour, pattern and texture is shown. Although the majority of her work is focused in the same area and photographs will be of similar objects, each photo shows a different element in a different way. A lot of her work would have been taken with the use of a macro lens allowing her to capture the close up detail of the flowers. I would have thought that she would then have edited the images further to enhance different areas of the image, such as colour.
Adam Gibbs

The photography of Adam Gibbs focuses on the natural world. His photographs capture colour, pattern, line and texture. In order to collect his shots he would have taken pictures focusing on a particular feature and then edit them to enhance a certain feature. He may have used blurring techniques in some of his work to enhance the focus on the foreground of the photograph.

Andrienne Adam's photography captures line, colour, pattern, texture and reflection. A lot of the work by Anrienne Adam is of the natural world but the technique of close ups enables different patterns and textures to be captured. When taking the photographs they would select specific objects found naturally such as leafs, flowers and rivers.
Alan Sailer
The work of Alan Sailer typically is made up of bold colours. His work is quite similar to Gisel Florez in the use of bold colours and explosions but he uses a much broader range of objects. The key elements that are demonstrated throughout his work are colour, shape and form.
Lartigues' work is mainly black and white and is typically of simple objects with no editing. Because his work is in black and white, his work portrays a lot of tone throughout. His work also portrays pattern and form due to the shadows created. Although his work is simple a lot of emotion and effects are created.
Ansel Adams
Ansel Adams has quite a variety of work but all of it is black and white. Some of the work are close ups like the above image but others are of landscapes and natural scenery. I would have thought that there would have been no editing in Ansel Adams' work. The photography shows tone, form, shape and pattern.
Zach Gold
Zach Gold's work typically shows tone as his work is in black and white. However, because of this his work shows form quite effectively. In some of his work, like above, shows movement by the splatters of the liquid. His work shows emotion through the capturing of the different facial expressions.
Todd Hido
His work is typically of buildings which we come across in everyday life. However, his way of capturing them creates a sense of mood which we don't often feel. A sense of loneliness and darkness is created throughout his work by the different surroundings. Todd Hido's work shows form, tone and shape throughout.
David Maisel
David Maisel's approach to capturing photographs is quite unique. He photographs landscapes but often whilst in the air to give a different perspective on things. His work is representative of colour, texture, form and pattern.
Denis Darzacq
Within his work he captures the impossible, people appearing to float. His work is representative of shape by the different shapes the body make. Throughout his work, pattern, colour and form is portrayed in a unique way.
Michael Wolf
Michael Wolf typically photographs buildings but in a unique way in that neither the top or bottom of the buildings are shown which creates a sense of infinity and length. His work shows pattern, depth, form and colour.

Paul Kenny photographs everyday objects that he finds in natural locations; they are insignificant items. He then arranges them in such a way that they are presented as remarkable things. Throughout his work key elements such as colour, form, texture and pattern are shown.

Throughout Josef Schulz's work, the simplicity demonstrates key elements of photography rather effectively. He photographs simple things such as building and signs and these photographs convey shape, line, colour, depth and form.
Edgar Martins
Edgar Martins' photos are often of public streets but they are in darkness which greatly contrasts the brighter areas of the scene. His work is simple in the sense that it focuses on everyday locations but his work really does represent some key elements. His work demonstrates line, depth, form and pattern.
Xing Danwen
Danwen's work focuses on pieces of everyday life, some focuses on toys where as some technology. The photography of Xing Danwen shows many of the same object which fills the whole picture frame. Her work typically shows pattern, colour, form and shape to some extent.
